The 800G OSFP 2×DR4 500m MPO-12 optical transceiver is a high-performance optoelectronic device designed for next-generation ultra-high-speed data centers and optical networks. Featuring an OSFP (Octal Small Form-factor Pluggable) form factor and dual-channel DR4 architecture, it supports 100Gbps PAM4 modulation per channel, delivering an aggregate bandwidth of 800Gbps to meet the stringent demands of AI/ML, cloud computing, and 5G bearer networks for ultra-high bandwidth and low latency. Leveraging single-mode fiber (SMF) transmission with an MPO-12 connector interface, this transceiver ensures stable long-reach connectivity up to 500 meters, making it ideal for large-scale interconnections in spine-leaf data center architectures, distributed computing, and supercomputing environments.  

 

On the technical front, the module incorporates advanced PAM4 modulation technology and high-performance DSP chips, significantly improving signal integrity while maintaining low power consumption (typical power <16W). Compliant with IEEE 802.3ck and OSFP MSA standards, it guarantees seamless interoperability with mainstream 800G switches and routing equipment. Its dual-channel DR4 design supports flexible 2×400G breakout mode, enabling backward compatibility with 400G/200G network infrastructures for cost-effective upgrades. Additionally, the built-in digital diagnostic monitoring (DDM) function allows real-time tracking of temperature, optical power, and bias current, enhancing network manageability and reliability.  

 

In terms of applications, the 800G OSFP 2×DR4 optical transceiver is an optimal solution for high-speed data center interconnects (DCI), AI training clusters, and high-performance computing (HPC) networks, particularly suited for long-distance, high-density, and low-power optical transmission scenarios. Its commercial-grade temperature range (0℃ to 70℃) ensures stable operation in harsh environments, while the hot-pluggable design facilitates quick deployment and maintenance. With the exponential growth of global data traffic, this transceiver—boasting high bandwidth, low latency, and superior energy efficiency—is emerging as a key enabler for the large-scale commercialization of 800G Ethernet and the evolution of intelligent computing networks.
