Classification of 10G SFP+ Optical Transceiver and Its Use with Switches

3. The connection between the CWDM SFP+ 10 Gigabit optical transceiver and the switch


This connection method uses relay boxes, optical fiber transceivers, CWDM coarse wavelength division multiplexers, etc., to connect the optical module with the switch, which can convert the RJ45 electrical port on the 10G 10 Gigabit Ethernet switch to CWDM coarse wavelength division multiplexer.


4. The connection between the DWDM SFP+ 10 Gigabit optical transceiver and the switch


Insert the optical module into the SFP+ port of the switch, and then connect it with the DWDM dense wavelength division multiplexer with an armored fiber jumper.


This connection method realizes the protection of optical signals in long-distance transmission, can minimize optical wave loss, and is suitable for long-distance optical signal transmission.
