GCS1R0C Copper Small Form Pluggable (SFP) transceivers are high-performance, cost-effective modules compliant with the Gigabit Ethernet and 1000BASE-T standards as specified in IEEE 802. 3-2002 and IEEE 802.3ab, which supports 1000Mbps data- rate up to 100 meters reach over unshielded twisted-pair category 5 cables. The sfp rj45 transceiver module supports 1000 Mbps full duplex data-links with 5-level Pulse Amplitude Modulation (PAM) signals. All four pairs in the cable are used with a symbol rate of 250Mbps on each pair. The sfp transceiver rj45 module provides standard serial ID information compliant with SFP MSA, which can be accessed with the address of A0h via the 2wire serial CMOS EEPROM protocol. The physical IC can also be accessed via a 2wire serial bus at address A0h.

Interface: The interface of the electrical port transceiver is RJ45, while the interface of the optical transceiver is mainly LC duplex, and there are also LC simplex and MTP/MPO interfaces.
Cables: Electrical port transceiver s are usually used with Category 5, Category 6, Category 6e or Category 7 network cables, while optical transceiver s are generally connected with optical jumpers.
Parameters: The electrical port transceiver does not have the term wavelength, but the optical transceiver does.
Components: The components of the electrical port transceiver and the optical transceiver are different, especially the electrical port transceiver does not have the core component of the optical transceiver - the laser.
